Excellent, professional, friendly front desk staff. Very good breakfast. Comfortable bed - I slept great and I don't usually sleep well when I travel! Nice amenities. Great location.

Wish the breakfast room weren't so stark and gloomy. Maybe some lamps in addition to the overhead lighting? My guest room was small, but that's not unexpected in NYC.

I liked the location of the hotel the most, was in a very nice relaxed trendy area of New York. I also liked the hotel's roof top garden with its beautiful views of the city. Also the beds were real comfy!

The room was a bit on the small side with no room for suitcases except on the ground but we knew this beforehand from previous reviews and didnt mind as we didnt intend to spend that much time in our room anyway. Also the bedroom door leading out to the hallway was not at all soundproof so if you are looking to sleep in be ready to hear all the cleaners and other guests all morning!

Lovely hotel, fantastic roof terrace, lovely staff, great location for Lower East Side, Soho, Chinatown, Greenwich Village etc.

Rooms typically small like most in New York.

Great location, clean room, polite staff, nice deck on roof, free breakfast, and overall good value for the money. Perfect for a single person visiting the city, especially if you don't plan to spend much time in your hotel and you don't want to stay in mid-town.

Similar to some of the other reviewers, I thought that the building had a funny smell. It did not really bother me much (I did not even notice after 5 mins.), but for people who are highly sensitive to this sort of thing, it might be a concern.

this hotel is very nice, quiet and in the very best neibourghood of all Manhattan. the hotel's terrace is the best place to take breakfast when the whether allows.

terrace is awesome unless you're in town during the freezing winter, location is great unless you're in ny to see time square and the empire state building...

The roof garden is amazing with panoramic views of the New York skyline. It was particularly lovely to sit up there at night with a coffee or a cold beer and just relax. There are buses to Brooklyn Bridge and the ferry port from just outside the hotel. Also a subway station nearby.

Very clean rooms and the location was great. Nice terrace on room gave a good view of Manhattan. Friendly staff.

Wi-Fi access was spotty. At times it worked while other times there was no connectivity. This was throughout the hotel except on three workstations in their breakfast room.

The location of the hotel is very convinient, the staff very friendly, the bathroom very nice the rooms, if a little small (but this is NYC!!) are great, the computer/breakfast room very convinient, the hotel is really pretty and the top of the top is the terrasse, deck on the 7th floor, this is heaven!!!! On a hot summer day ...the view....this is a great hotel!!!!!!

I liked everything about this hotel, once again I find my room a little small but I was travelling by myself so that was ok. Otherwise I have no complains at all.

The hotel is very close to some great shopping at small boutiques and some great restaurants.

It was a little noisy on the weekend due to being on the corner of a busy road. Lots of honking of horns. I also found the wi-fi tricky as it kept dropping out. It would have been nice to have real cups to drink tea or coffee from. The paper cups did nothing for the taste of a cup of tea.

It's a great place to stay at in NY. The location is fantastic with all restaurants and small shops on the Lower East Side around the corner. The terrace on the roof and the breakfast are both excellent features. I'll definately stay there next time I go to NY. The Latin American restaurant next door is a great bonus. Don't miss it!

Rooftop patio simple, but comfortable, with nice views. Lovely place to have breakfast or a glass of wine before dinner. (You must bring your own food or drink). Decor pleasant. Windows faced the street, with a park across Houston. Room was quiet, with windows an effective barrier to street noise. Air conditioning functioned well. Fun location. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

Room extremely small. No place to put anything. Difficult to walk around the end of the bed. Foot wide closet had hangers about 10 feet off the ground. No dresser. One luggage stand. The other suitcase had to go behind the door, so that the door would not open fully. Wi Fi was not working well when we were there, but they gave us an ethernet cable, which was probably better, anyway. The shower water ran under the glass door onto the floor. We solved this with extra towels, but had a little trouble getting them the first day.

Location, location and location. Shopping in Soho is 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and not to miss, there are plenty of bars in the neighboorhood. We had a great view from our hotel room. Corner room 6th floor. If weather allows it. Bring the complimentary breakfast and coffee up to the terrace.

The room was kinda small. After a couple of days shopping it got kinda cramped and the bed took up most of the floor area.

The hotel is comfortable, clean, well located, and reasonably priced. I would compare it to many European hotels, small (44 rooms), friendly, continental breakfast served.

My room was the last available room, thus may not be typical as regards size. It was very small with a comfortable bed taking up most of the floor space. Plenty of closet space and a full, well appointed bath. One small straight backed chair. Not a room to relax in if you are not sleeping. The lobby was comfortable and had good seating.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed!

Room was quite small but very nice
